Choose an Energy card in your hand, show it to your opponent, and shuffle it into your deck. Then flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for up to 3 basic Energy cards. Show them to your opponent, and put them into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Were intentional fail searches a thing back then? If I found myself playing a deck with this in it- which I’m not sure why I would be, I don’t even own a copy- this seems like it would be a useful card to get rid of energy and fail search it.

So..you either gain two energy and color fix one..or lose one. On average ,this is far and away worse than energy search.
