Kai Ishikawa is credited for artwork for this, Aquapolis’ Power Plant, and three JP-only promo Energy cards*. A lot of artists who debuted or did the bulk of their artwork during the e-Card era turned out to be Creatures staff, but there isn’t much information on him I can find.
*Kai Ishikawa is credited with artwork for the P Promotional prints of Aquapolis’ Crystal Energy, Boost Energy, and Warp Energy. The Aquapolis prints of those cards are credited to Shin-ichi Yoshikawa. Shin-ichi Yoshikawa was a more prolific artist for the time and ***if I didn’t know better***, I would suggest that one name or the other could be an alias. Both “Shin-ichi” and “Kai” can be read with dual meanings that would make them good choices for a pseudonym (n.b. a lot of Japanese names have dual meanings, so please do take this with a grain of salt! It’s a shot in the dark to try and explain why Kai Ishikawa is credited so few cards and I can’t find much information about him elsewhere..)
