This cat was one of the top dogs during the Primal Clash through Guardians Rising format. From turn 1 Psybeam going second thanks to Energy Evolution, to hitting Pokémon with three Energy for 150 damage pre-Choice Band, to being able to snipe and spread strategically with Divide GX. It was one of the best Pokémon you could pair with Garbodor, the other being Drampa GX.
I remembered being in awe of this card’s art when it was first revealed. The Tag Team GX’s just felt… alive. There radiant light, the realistic shadows, the textures of each Pokémon’s fur or feathers or skin… I know some people hate CGI art on principle, but several CGI illustrations are among my childhood favorites.
