This was the first Exeggutor card in the TCG that didn’t have any coin-flipping element in its attacks.

Easily the strangest evolution line in the whole franchise, and judging by the gen 1 index numbers, the first complete one ever made. I’m not sure at what point in development that the evolution mechanic was implemented, but if it was in the build that first included Exeggcute, then the first time anyone saw a Pokemon evolve, it was a group of eggs into a coconut tree.
