Ability ⇢ Rowdy
When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you must flip a coin. If heads, discard the top 5 cards of your opponent’s deck. If tails, discard the top 5 cards of your deck.
{W}{W}{C} → Crunch : 140
Discard an Energy from your opponent’s Active Pokémon.

When it bites with its massive and powerful jaws, it shakes its head and savagely tears its victim up.

If your coin flip is heads, Rowdy is a phenomenal ability. If it’s tails, less so–although you could use this card to great effect in decks that rely on cards in the discard pile, like Mad Party, Blissey V, or the new Spiritomb.

Eldegoss V is also super handy in case you accidentally discard a really necessary card.

Or the Castforms from CRE aren’t a bad option either

I think the best option would actually be Volcarona V, since it wants like a third of the entire deck discarded repeatedly and there’s not a lot of critical cards to accidentally discard besides Volcarona itself (which you only need three of, max). I originally dismissed this ability as irredeemably terrible (a stage 2 with a single-use ability that isn’t even guaranteed to work???), but there is actually quite a bit of synergy to be had.

If you flip heads, this ability is better than Aggron DRX. But if you flip tails…
