This artwork was featured in the 2022 TCG Online Illustration Exhibition, and included a comment from the artist, Saya Tsuruta;
“Fletchling is a Pokémon that I was tasked with designing. I designed it with the image of its reddish head and long tail standing out in a white snowy forest despite its diminutive stature. Fletchling is also deeply territorial, so it was nice to be given the chance to capture that tendency in a card illustration. The rest of the card is also white since it is a Normal [Colorless] type, which adds to the illustration’s feeling of expansiveness and helps achieve the impression that I was aiming for.”
