      As along as this Pokémon is on your Bench, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks (both yours and your opponent’s).

      Ability: Thorn Tempest
      When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon, you may put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent’s Pokémon.

        Thorn Tempest would work even if Shell Shield included Abilities, since it puts damage counters instead of doing damage.
