Why has this card flopped?? I thought it would be used a lot like that one Spiritomb card was.
I’m guessing it’s probably too marginal a benefit to justify two whole deck spots (1 for Genny, 1 for the tool)

the set is barely legal for standard play. How has this card flopped?

The main reason is that it’s conditional in a way Spiritomb never had to deal with. If you whiff your tool attach or get vaccumed, you just have a bench slot taken up, and for what? old ACE-SPECs used to pretty much make a few decks exist, like G-Booster, modern ones are just sort of little tricks that are strong, but don’t define decks in the same way. Way less helpful in pretty much every way.
