As long as Gengar is your Active Pokémon, if any of your opponent’s Pokémon would be Knocked Out, put that Pokémon in the Lost Zone instead of discarding. (Discard all cards attached to that Pokémon.)
{P} → Hurl into Darkness
Look at your opponent’s hand and choose a number of Pokémon you find there up to the number of {P} Energy attached to Gengar. Put the Pokémon you chose in the Lost Zone.
{P}{C} → Cursed Drop
Put 4 damage counters on your opponent’s Pokémon in any way you like.

Smeargle uses Portrait, see no Pokémon, use N or Judge, then hurl and hope they got a Pokémon on the redraw.

In the HGSS block, every Prime has a non-Prime counterpart except four of them: Gengar, Mew, Absol, and Magnezone. Those four have something in common: they were the Primes released in Lost Link.
