Giovanni’s Nidoran is, in a way, the very first Single Strike Pokémon. (The original name of its second attack is いかりのいちげき, and いちげき [𝐈𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐤𝐢] is the tag that was used to denote what was translated as “Single Strike Pokémon” for Generation 8’s Battle Style mechanic.)
