– This card originates from the sixth DP set in Japan, and should’ve been included in Stormfront, but alongside a few other cards from that set, got held back for inclusion in Platinum. This creates some nice synergy with the namesake game of the set, but undermines what Stormfront was originally meant to be – a set that thematically complements the the 11th Pokémon movie (the Giratina one). You can debate the pros/cons on that all day, but if you’re ever wondering why this set has four unique Giratina cards, plus a Level X, there’s your answer.
– This is the debut of Strafe [ひるがえす – 𝐇𝐈𝐑𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐄𝐒𝐔 – seems to translate to “turn over”/”reverse”/”change over” or something along these lines, so “Strafe” is quite a uh, liberal? translation].
– Broken-space Blow is the debut of the Lost Zone mechanic, so it’s probably a nice coincidence that the background of Arita’s artwork has that spectral aesthetic to it, with coloration we’ve come to more broadly associate with the mechanic.
– This card did not originally have a Pokédex entry (see comments on Dialga PL5, Metagross SV7, et al. for more info). In line with what I’m suspecting PUSA/NOA/TPCI(?) was doing in these cases, it looks like they just copy-paste from the last regular card that did have a Pokédex entry – so in this case, this Giratina has the same DP entry as its LA card had. (Giratina PL 28 has the Platinum entry, as did its JP counterpart (which fits, as it comes from the first set in Japan’s Platinum block, DPt1).

“and all cards attached to in the Lost Zone instead of the discard pile” should have an “it” in the text info.

Good catch. Fixed. Thank you!
