I notice in this series of cards the weaknesses are +20 instead of x20 like the newer cards, are these older cards still legal to play with against the newer cards? If so would you still abide by the +20 weakness instead of the x20 of the newer cards?

In tournaments, you can only play cards from Next Destinies-on, but in unlimited/casual play, you play by what is written on the card.

Of course, it doesn’t only apply to unlimited and casual. Inevitably, some formats will contain cards. The MD-On format featured pokemon with additive weaknesses as well as pokemon with multiplicative weaknesses.
