My rogue last year. Tumble Down plus Delcatty PL and Sandslash SV . So epic.

Adam, how do you get this to work?

A really cool concept there! Couldn’t get away with anything imaginative like that now :/

I know, you have to be playing Darkrai or Zekeels or you aren’t going to do well. Except for Klinklang. The most recent format we’ve had that was even somewhat diverse was HS-NVI. You had 3-4 Tier One decks, 2-3 of which involved at least one Stage Two Pokemon (The Ross deck is debatable which Tier it was at) and I had a decent rogue deck that was ruined with the concept of EX’s.

CMT can be played as well, and there were a few lock decks that did really well at U.S. nats, like Kumis dec. or Chandyplume/mew/accelgor/darkrai. There seem to be plenty of competitive decks in this format, but many just aren’t widely played. You don’t have to play Zeels or Darkrai to do well, it’s just a little more risky to go with anything else =T

CMT CAN be played, but it has crappy matchups against the rest of the metagame.

And I agree, there are a few cool Tier 2 decks that you CAN play, but you’d be better off playing Darkrai or Zekeels.

            Regarding CMT…yeah =T
I disagree that you’d be better off playing either of those decks though. I went in with Mew/chandyplume/accelgor/gliscor and never lost against darkrai. Zekeels I lost to due to misplays, but it’s a very favorable matchup. Many of the Tier 2 decks have incredible matchups against the tier 1 decks but are weak against the rest of the field. They’re designed to break the meta and they’re all strong plays IMO.

My favorite Golem artwork in the TCG. 10/10 I love it! ⛰
