   I always thought it was weird that there were no Golems or Geodudes printed in the whole Neo era. Just a lone Graveler.
   In fact, there were only ever two Golems made in these original sets, and they were both pre-neo. The Fossil one and the other which remained Japanese exclusive, and is rather pricey to get a hold of now because it was part of a special trade in offer.

       You’re right there is a Geodude, and I know I have that card. Mmm, guess I just forgot.
       Still Golem got better treament back then than poor Pidgeot. At east Brock had a Golem, Koga’s pidgeotto didn’t even evolve. And the only other Pidgeot to make an appearance from Base to Neo Destiny was in the Game Boy Game, and that card never got a physical release.
       Awesome artwork though, it’s a shame.

     If there had been more Golem than Geodude and Graveler it would’ve been possible to anticipate the two cards, but there are Geodude and Graveler cards in the “vending” sets you can generally understand as evolving into the promotional Golem. In fact, with this card, there ended up being four Graveler – Lv.27, Lv.28, Lv.29, and this Lv.32 card – to only two Golem. In this sense, it didn’t “need” to exist, and it ends up as the only evolution line treated like this in the neo series.

   Debut of “Rock Tumble.” This attack shows up at least once in each generation since.
