A TCGONE user named Lilslinky piloted a deck that ran one Groudon ex and no other basic Pokémon to second place in a 23 person online EX Block Format tournament. The deck uses Strange Cave LM to cheat Anorith LM into play and evolve it into either Armaldo SS or Armaldo ex LM. You can also cheat Aerodactyl LM or Aerodactyl DF into play with Strange Cave, giving the deck more options.

Regardless of what evolution Pokémon you’re aiming for, your one basic Pokémon is a very strong attacker and bulky wall that more or less shuts down “Rayler” (Rayquaza ex DF/Stantler UF), a deck with a very high skill ceiling that competes with BombTar for the title of BDIF.
