Technically,this card is not strictly better than Eviolite. It does nothing to protect against recoil damage!
Obviously a nitpick. This card is outstanding. It’s funny, really. Eviolite so defined the gen 5 format that people just took it for granted. It’s hard to really tally the number of times some player has proposed attaching Eviolite to (insert evolved pokemon here) even though the card clearly states otherwise. This card turns that little delusion into reality.

I built a deck around Reshiram EX recently limiting the recoil the damage using this and Cherrim AR and actually had this in it for a while until I actually read the translation. I just assumed it was strictly better than eviolite
