(correction: Dragon Dance: As long as this Haxorus is your Active Pokémon, each of its attacks does 100 more damage (before applying Weakness and Resistance). You can’t add more than 100 damage in this way.)

The wording is interesting. “As long as this Haxorus is your Active Pokémon.. ” I wonder if this means that Mew-EX gets no bonus from this.

Self referencing attack, Mew EX will get the bonus. And it will be awesome. Works for bench damage too, so this and a spread will wipe every non-EX

Although I don’t know if it would…it’s different than “As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon”, or something in that vein like we see with Unfezant RSK AT because it is not a Haxorus, so that clause would return false, thus destroying the entire effect.

Its the first time in YEARS a non-status effect has persisted over more than one turn, and they’ve had probably 3-4 major wording overhauls since. Can’t expect them to get it right first time. Especially considering they screwed up the wording on Fighting Stadium literally the same set they introduced another wording overhaul (defending Pokemon)

Seems like a translation error. All recent cards have read “this Pokemon” instead of its name.

Nope, it’s not a translation error. This is intentional and present on the Japanese card オノノクス [Ononokus] XY8 [青い衝撃 Blue Shock] 047/059, which says this for the りゅうのまい [Dragon Dance] attack:
        この「オノノクス」が使うワザのダメージは「+100」される。この効果は、このポケモンがバトル場をはなれるまで続き、重ならない。
It uses the term “この「オノノクス」”, which means “this Ononokus (Haxorus)”. If it were to use the term “this Pokémon”, it would have to say “このポケモン” instead.

It’s intentional. The original Japanese text of this card says “この「オノノクス」”, which translates to “this Haxorus”.

Dragon Dance isn’t the only thing that’s pretty good about this. 1 Double Dragon for 130 is good, it’s like Garchomp DRX’s Dragonblade.
