This artwork seems to be a deliberate reference to Decidueye GX, with nearly the exact same tree and angle.
Consequently, it’s a *very* good example of how 5ban’s quality has plummeted. Decidueye GX is a beautiful card, Decidueye feeling integrated into its environment with excellent lighting including the shadows of individual leaves and everything. Hisuian Decidueye, meanwhile, has almost no lighting effects at all, with a bland clay-like texture. Even the highlight on the arrowhead is worse.

Maybe they just never put that much effort into this art?? Nagasawa’s version in ASR is much better, so I don’t think they felt a true *need* to make this card look good. But it’s still very disappointing!
