    There are several possible explanations as to why he is heading sky high, here:
    He got sent out of the park by Stormfront Machamp. Home run!
    He is testing to see if he can use his intense speed to fight gravity itself. Flying Electrode for the win!
    He REALLY does not want to fight whatever is down there, so he opted to instead let himself be attached to a flying pokemon (I dunno..Drifloon?)
