I blame J-Wittz for this absurdly high rating.

Breaks the format in every way. Does everything that Magnemite wishes he could do with Magnetic Switch. I won a game with him once two seasons ago on the first turn with expert belt and Pluspowers–too easy.

Just look at the artwork–Hoppip leads the way with his best foot forward. Yes, it’s inevitable. He’s going to Bounce you with that foot, and there’s nothing you can do about it. Did I mention that a World Champion in 2010 ran 4 copies of this card in her deck?? You heard me right, HER deck. Men were too proud to run such a wild and reckless card, and they were shown up because of it.

A thing of legends. He’s been both my best friend and worst enemy. The only thing that would make this card better is if Pokemon understood what they were doing when assigning rarity and made this card a holo.

    10/10. No questions asked.

Now with eviolite, it can survive a donphan’s earthquake attack, allowing it to continue to bounce around unstopped.

Anyone that rates Hoppip lower than a 10/10 is an enemy of mine.

If you have a Metapod on your bench, undamaged Reshiram can’t even OHKO it with Outrage. Broken.

I think that this is appropriate music for this kind of Pokemon:

Let me get this straight. This thing does a whole TEN damage for only ONE energy? Broken.

Seriously, what’s so great about Hoppip? It has really low HP, a pretty mediocre attack and no one plays Jumpluff anymore anyway.

*suddenly dies and goes to Hell for some reason*

Professor Oak is a nice man, selling these broken cards for such a low price.

When it comes to illustrating unevolved pokemon, sui is really the best there is.
That being said, the point of view is seriously bizarre here, especially fora pokemon with only 30 HP!. The low angel shot, the fog over the horizon , and the fact that its tail is barely visible makes Hoppip look like it’s the size of a mountain. If you were to just remove everything past the base of its tail, visually shifting it behind the treeline ,you really would have a monumental pokemon, one poised to crush the viewer.
