Crystal (2 years ago) The Celebrations reprint collection actually serves as an interesting cross-section of the variation in copyright credits for the series across the years (and I’m actually glad WOTC got left out, even if it’s less faithful for it). It’s interesting to know that at some point, Nintendo, Creatures, and GAME FREAK shifted from being individually credited on cards, to being comfortable being lumped together under the ‘© Pokémon’ tagline in generations 5, 6, and 7 and then something happened for the start of Gen 8 for the byline to credit Pokémon AND Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK again. Some have noted that some recent Pokémon games have started crediting an in-house staff at GAME FREAK for 3D modelling/design work rather than Creatures staff, as had been the case for a very long time. Something feels not quite right. Reply
