Could you search out RR Kecleon with this card? Because its Poke-BODY makes it {W} type? I know that some Abilities work even from the hand (like FST Pyukumuku), but I don’t think that a Poke-BODY works from the *deck.*

I know that modern day Abilities like DAA Blaziken and Hoopa V specify that they only provide dual type “as long as the Pokémon is in play.” I assume that that means “as long as they’re on the bench / in the active spot,” but when it comes to the hand/deck/discard pile?? Idk??
Like clearly Pyukumuku can use its ability from the hand—even if that’s not technically “in play.” But that’s the exception not the rule…. I think.

      Gonna say no.
      Based on this:
      https://pokegym.net/community/index.php?threads/poke-bodies.2030/
“Poké-Body: A Poké-Body is an effect on a Pokémon that is always active, as soon as that Pokémon is in play. The effect of that Poké-Body lasts until the Pokémon leaves play.”
Note: as soon as that Pokemon *is in play*. So Colorful Body doesn’t do anything until Kecleon is on the field, and until then, it’s Colorless.

Also, this is my own conjecture, but I believe because the deck is universally private information (from both the player and the opponent), the “body text” of a card generally doesn’t do anything until the card is removed from the deck. So the *only* qualities a card has until you’ve already gotten it out somehow are its non-text attributes: card name, type, evolutionary stage, retreat cost, weakness/resistance, and HP. Since afaik there’s no effects that can search a pokemon based on a quality like attack name or having an ability.

Once Arven came out, I noticed that people started playing this card a lot less often
