The real mystery is why someone had it in his head that Bill should be reprinted as a supporter after a virtually strictly better (ignoring Chaos Gym and similar effects that replicate an opponent’s supporters) printing was released in DF.

Bill was reprinted as a Supporter way back during the e-Card era in Japan. It wouldn’t have made any sense to “un-Supporter” him. (I *think* WOTC even issued an errata to play Bill as a Supporter, despite never bothering to reprint the card as one?)
