Happened to get this card in PTCGO through a Booster Pack. Its ability is terrific, I’ve seen many (Real-life) decks with it but I’m not sure how it’s exactly supposed to be played

Is it a good idea to use it as a one-time search, or it requires some support to get the best of it?

  Can do it with either. You can play it as the 1 time search or you can use it with cards like Scoop Up Cyclone to use it multiple times.
