{C} → Make a Wish
Search your deck for a card that evolves from 1 of your Pokémon and put it on that Pokémon. (This counts as evolving that Pokémon.) If you do, put 1 damage counter on Jirachi. Shuffle your deck afterward.
{P}{M} → Mind Bend : 30
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Confused.
· Dual Type rule: This Pokémon is both {P}{M} type.

I wish this rotation had something along the lines of this/PhioneMD. Not Spiritomb, I hate T1 Trainer Lock.

The fact that Spiritomb does it for free is nice, though. It leaves your all important first attachment open to anything you need.

Why was this card so effective back in the day?
Crystal
Mind Bend first appeared as an attack on Crystal Celebi from Skyridge. The other dual type Pokémon in the set*, Metagross, brings back Crystal Crobat‘s Squared Attack. The Crystal types can be seen as precursors to the idea of a card having more than a single type, so the shared attacks could be read as deliberate callbacks.
* Dark Celebi wouldn’t be part of the callbacks, unfortunately, since the card was originally a mono-Dark type called Rocket’s Celebi.

Polteageist V has the strongest version of this attack — 100 damage!!
