Does Galarian Mr. Rime function the same way as this mostly if it has energy attached?
I swear Pokémon really needs to start being more clear on alot of thier cards. Im so confused.

not quite, there are other effects besides placing damage counters. For example, applying special conditions, preventing you from retreat, etc. This is particularly different because Mr. Rime can protect the active pokemon if it has energies, while Jirachi only protects benched pokemon.

basically irrelevant once Sableye rotated!
