You know what it’s even better with? Oranguru SSH and Mr. Mime DET! Oranguru could put Jirachi Prism Star onto your deck, Mr. Mime could swap it with a card of your choice, and Scoop Up Net allowed you to do it all over again for more extra prizes!
While this combo never saw the light of day in physical Standard format tournaments, it was paired to great success with aggressive attackers like Zacian V SSH and Blacephalon UNB online, and Stephané Ivanoff made a surprise appearance with Jirachi Prism Star Mad Party, though he didn’t get far with it. Jirachi Prism Star remained legal in Japan for the rest of the year, and the combo saw additional use in the aforementioned decks and others at Champion’s League Yokohama. Oh, and Jirachi was occasionally paired with Pokémon Card Gym Medal in Japanese Expanded format events prior to the release of Scoop Up Net.
