    So how does Detour work now? Does it simply not do anything?

        don’t think only that turn
        in play means every card in discard

          ^no, that’s not how this attack would work. Supporters used to stay in play for the entire turn, and get discarded at end of turn. At the start of Black and White, this got changed to Supporters going to the discard after being played.

          So what happens to all the cards that referenced Supporters being in play? Well, they now reference the Supporter that you played that turn instead. Per the Black & White rule change announcement:

          Also, Supporter cards no longer stay in play until the end of the turn. Any cards that previously checked to see if a Supporter card was in play now checks to see if a Supporter card was played. For Example, Probopass (Arceus, 7/99) reads, “If you don’t have a Supporter card in play, each of Probopass’s attacks does 30 more damage to the Active Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).” It should now read, “If you didn’t play a Supporter card this turn, each of Probopass’s attacks does 30 more damage to the Active Pokemon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).”

          So for this one, Nosredna’s got it right.

            For anyone placing Palace format, Detour doesn’t have any special combo with PLS Magnezone (or Lt. Surge’s Strategy, etc.). You pick only one of the Supporters you played that turn;

            𝑸:ジバコイル[プラズマ団]の特性「ダブルブレイン」で、2種類のサポートを手札から出して使いました。
            同じ番に、ジラーチのワザ「リフレイン」を使った場合、ワザの効果として使えるサポートは、どちらのサポートですか?
            𝑨: ジラーチの持ち主のプレイヤーが、この番使ったサポートのうち1枚をえらび、ワザの効果として使います。

      Corviknight VMax has free retreat :) I’m not sure if Battle Styles had come out when you made this comment though

        Battle Styles must have been right around the corner at the time. I was just surprised that in all those years we didn’t get any Metals with free retreat. And even then they’re holding out on us, as Corviknight probably managed to get no retreat due to its flying type.
