· Props to the Hoppip line for continuing to resist HP bloat, and it becomes especially noticeable for Jumpluff, a Stage 2 card with only 90 HP in 2023? I also appreciate the attempts to make this work in the current format, with this card’s Drifting Dodge, and the previous Jumpluff’s Fluffy Barrage ability. “Work” might be an exaggeration, but as they’re mechanics that might be broken on cards with normal HP, it makes it look at least respectable.
· Jumpluff’s gone a very long time with free retreat, as this is the first time it’s had a printed Retreat in the English TCG, and overall only the second time since Pokémon VS – and that’s because it was printed as a Basic Pokémon, and even then perhaps only because there were no Basic Pokémon with 0 Retreat in *any* of Web/VS/e-Card/ADV/PCG. https://pcg-search.com/card/vs/vs0060.php
