Regarding the artwork for this case, to quote the English edition of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Illustration collection, “We went through a lot of ideas when coming up with specifications for the setting [of XY5 Raging Fist, which became XY Furious Fists], but I’m happy if we can generate a feeling in the viewer that something is a little off and different from normal when they look at these cards.”
