It can freely change its body’s color. The zigzag pattern on its belly doesn’t change, however.

Fantastic! I’ve got my Sunyshore Gym, Shaymin Lv.X, Darkrai Lv.X, 3 Darkness Energies, 4 Special Metals, Lucario GL and an Expert Belt. I can do 240 damage to anything, and even Donphan can’t knock me out. Good game…oh, a DGX. Balls.
HEZ
Vileplume from BW7 (causes 4x weaknesses) + this. Gimmick deck idea: Vileplume, Eevees and Kecleon (with Fliptini, Dark Claw etc.). A fun toolbox deck that abuses Weakness and you get to throw a casual trainer lock theme in too… AND you get to KO things with Kecleon >_<
feyblade
It lacks the dragon type. Let’s hope that a Kecleon with a modern version of the ability (dragon type included) and a slightly stronger/faster attack (50 for 3? 30+flip for 10 for 2?) will be printed in the same set. Kecleon hasn’t been printed since this printing, so it might be time for it to be printed again

Pachirisu is now a way to get around all those pesky dragons. “Hey, you’re weak to lightning now. Better run!”
tototavros
Honestly, there’s no problem w/ Dragons, as you can just TeCH a few Rayquaza DRX in it, grab some [R], who can just do 160 w/o any boosts for [R].
EverPhoenix
And I guess florges ex to wreck fairy-weak dragons.
Blob Takeshi
Feyblade, an Arceus promo gets that Ability with Dragon and Fairy included.

UNLIMITED RAINBOW ROAD
OH YEAH

I build this deck, and belive me, its awesome: 10+ 270(30 X 9) + 30(xerneas) for 3 energy in a basic pokemon!

I swear Colorful Body was re-used on an Arceus card, but re-named and given Dragon and Fairy types in addition.
Jiří z Poděbrad
This Kecleon can never be Fairy-type, no matter how hard it tries.
Twylis
This Kecleon gets another neat Unlimited buddy in the new Pokemon Go set, Radiant Eevee. Attack for C searches for a number of cards from your deck equal to number of types you have in play, which with Kecleon, is 9 cards. You can only run one Radiant Eevee per deck, though.
Nos
Love crazy unlimited strategies like this. Just stick a Dragon and a Fairy on the bench and you have the whole palette.

This card appears to be banned in any Japanese events running a DP-on format.

It seems like it’s actually the only Pokémon banned from the DP block. (The other cards listed off for DP-era bans are Trainer cards like Mysterious Pearl which were basically only awarded to the top winners of highly competitive events – so I assume the bans are just to equalize the playing field for overall lack of availability of the cards.)
Twylis
That “Hall of Fame points” system is similar to a lot of historical point-based banning in old Japanese formats, but I’ve never understood quite how it works. I get that you can’t go over four points — but like, Broken Time Space is two points, so does that mean you can only play two copies of it and no other Hall of Fame cards? Or does it mean you can max out four copies and then also have four of copies of, say, Junk Arm (also two Hall of Fame points)?
Ambassador
It’s the former – two copies of BTS maxes out the four point limit. This English-language fansite actually has a good summary of the DP-on ruleset as outlined on pokemon-card;
