The two minigears that compose this Pokémon are closer than twins. They mesh well only with each other.

This attack “Vise Grip” is quite new — it debuted in Gen 8!

It’s actually not new at all! It’s the attack はさむ, also initially known as Vicegrip in the video games, which debuted and was translated in the EN TCG as Irongrip on Fossil Krabby.

        It seems to be roughly:
        Gen 1–4 TCG: Irongrip
        Gen 5–7 TCG: Vice Grip*
        Gen 8 TCG: Vise Grip

        Gen 1–5 VG: Vicegrip
        Gen 6–7 VG: Vice Grip
        Gen 8 VG: Vise Grip

*Klink MCD11 seems like a single instance of the attack that slipped by under its old name in the TCG, but otherwise Gen 5 uses the new name.
