How is it that Suffocating Gas only does 20 damage? It sounds like it should be an instant KO.

Easy. The gas doesn’t induce suffocation, the gas itself is suffocating. Somehow it grew lungs and something happened to prevent it from breathing. Obviously it won’t be able to do much damage if it can’t breath.

I always chose to ignore that aspect of Pokemon, considering most types function on the breaking conservation laws, but thanks to Darumaka, now I’m forced to wonder.

I HATE Darumaka. I swear I get it in every black and white booster!
