What a fantastic generation to be a Lumineon fan this was. It even got a plush thanks to the gen 4 Sitting Cuties line c:

Here is a comment from the artist regarding this card (original followed by machine translation, for the sake of convenience);
Machine translation;
The theme of this project is “the seafloor x starry sky”. I imagined a Lumineon at the bottom of the ocean, where it is so dark that no light can reach, shining its fins to search for food, and the objects on the ocean floor reacting to the light and glowing in various colors, creating a fantastic landscape.
I also depicted an element that would make you giggle: a Lanturn in the background, looking to intercept the bait.
The light around the Lumineon is a gradation of distorted shapes to create a fantastic atmosphere. Since it is difficult to express light in colors for printing, I made all the colors in the painting as extreme as possible. The background is as dark as possible, and blue, almost black, is used to emphasize the light. I usually don’t use extreme colors in my illustrations, so I was anxious about whether this would work (laughs). I was anxious as I drew this picture (laugh).

I would absolutely love to get my hands on a print of this artwork on its own. Reading the artist statement below clearly shows that the artist has a ton of thought into the piece and it looks beautiful!
