It’s pretty funny that the new H-block Tyranitar ex also has an attack with the same effect as “Piercing Gaze”

It’s not actually the case. Tyranitar ex’s Tyrant Crush attack discards a random card from the opponent’s hand, but with Piercing Gaze you get to look at the opponent’s hand and choose a card to discard.
