In standard, when Lysandre gets desperate he can single handedly save your game in a pinch against certain opponents. In unlimited, when Lysandre gets desperate he completely rewrites the rules of the game.
It takes a lot for a supporter to play on par with Oak and his cadre. Seeker went far, Ghetsis seemed strong at the time…but Lysandre is the real deal.
One has to wonder what sort of world the TCG universe is. I can only imagine that Bill, Erika, and Lysandre are part of some larger conspiracy in that continuity.

Where would Professor Oak fit into this continuity? He’s changed methodologies multiple times (From original Oak to Research to New Theory.) Why don’t Juniper and Sycamore get along? They seem to agree on the proper way to draw cards, you’d think they’d be good friends. The TCG is by far the most interesting version of the Pokemon universe, even if it is mostly fanon.

Unlimited now has an infinite loop engine. Finally happened…

I’d really like them to do storylines in the TCG like they have in Magic. You could put little quotes on Supporters for example.
Another reason why the Holon Region was so much fun, you felt like you were piecing together a picture of that region through cards alone… but they could easily take the concept further! (Other TCG exclusive characters? Imposter Oak, the red haired Rocket girl).

Decking out? What’s that?
