Sceptile is the only Hoenn starter who got a full art version of its mega Evolution!

Let’s say you play UNB Incineroar against this ancient trait (θ Stop). If “Strong Cheer” activates, Incineroar’s Flamethrower deals 120 damage, which OHKO’s Mega Sceptile EX due to its weakness (240 damage).
But… does the extra 30 damage from “Strong Cheer” count as an effect that will be blocked by θ Stop? I’m leaning towards “no, it isn’t an effect.” But IDK!

I’m not sure… But I feel pretty confident saying that “θ Stop” de-activates abilities like Stoutland’s “Intimidating Fang,” which would cut the damage of Sceptile’s attacks.

I’m late, but no it wouldn’t. The wording of Stop specifies “done to this pokémon”. Though the damage is done to this pokemon, the extra damage is actually modifying the opponent’s pokémon’s attack. It would stop it if the ability read something like “your opponent’s active pokémon takes 30 more damage from your attacks”. Stop would also stop Quick Shooting Inteleon and Whirphool Suction Phione, but would not stop Safeguard Suicune or Exoskeleton Donphan Prime. Hope that helps :)
