For many of us, this was our first real rare card. I never actually used him, but this guy brought me to where I am today as a Pokemon player, collector, and all around fan.

I never really used this guy on the gameboy. Only now I noticed its attack is kinda like Venusaur’s, and has a “Rough Skin” of sorts. Seriously, I think I’m gonna use it on the GB.

Did anyone catch onto that whole “Meme TCG” kickstarter thing?
It folded really quickly and the creator tossed the entire thing down the memory hole for the most part(facebook/twitter pages were burned to the ground, official website was gone, most references to it on the creator’s main page were purged), but there was some pretty “interesting” stuff about it.
Namely, a careful look at that video the creator posted on the kickstarter page would reveal that many of the card designs he had “come up with” weren’t just inspired off of the TCG, they were directly copy-pasted from it!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/687530622/meme-tcg check the video and pay attention to the cards showcased on it.

The creator had the audacity to create a card that was a perfect copy of machamp aside from the associated image and the energy cost symbols themselves. He even had the gall to copy-paste the entirety of strikes back (rules text, reminder text, clarification text and all) WORD FOR WORD. Lol.

Looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. It’s hard to believe anyone would seriously pitch that idea…

Looks like a bunch of lawsuits waiting to happen. With the recent story about Scribblenauts infringing on Keyboard Cat and Nyan Cat, it would be best to check the copyright status of every meme they intended on using before going forward, acquiring the necessary licences for those they cannot use. Then, they have to worry about Nintendo and TCPi for ripping off their cards.

Big noob question: what happens if my opponent and I have this Machamp as the Active Pokemon, my opponent attacks with “Seismic Toss”, then my Machamp attacks his with “Strikes Back”, will the opposing Machamp be able to use “Strikes Back” afterwards since it also took damage, essentially striking each other until one gets knocked out?

Strikes Back does not chain, because it only triggers on the “opponent’s attack,” and not damage from Pokémon Powers.
