With Furious Fists on its way, I figured I’d share this tidbit of Fighting type trivia here. Up until Dragon and Fairy were introduced as TCG types, it was theoretically possible to release a set in which everything was weak to fighting.
Grass- mixed with Bug in the TCG. Bug is weak to Rock
Water- mixed with Ice, which is weak to Fighting
Fire- weak to both Ground and Rock
Lightning – weak to Ground
Psychic – mixed with Poison, which is weak to Ground
Fighting – mixed with Rock type, which is weak to both Ground and Fighting
Colorless – Normal is weak to Fighting, Flying is weak to Rock
Steel – Weak to Ground and Fighting
Dark – Weak to Fighting
Neither Dragon nor Fairy is weak to Rock, Ground, or Fighting in the video games. If they were to follow this theme, the secondary typing would have to be weak to one of those three types (although Fairy resists Fighting, so it would have to be something weak to Ground or Rock like Dedene or Kelfki.)

I mean, theoretically, it’s possible to release a set of all Dark types too. Still a cool point.

At first glance, “Machamp Crush” is similar to Onix GX’s “Rocky Avalanche GX” or the attack “Rock Head.” But there’s a subtle difference–those attacks place a one-turn effect on YOUR Pokemon but this places a one-turn effect on your OPPONENT’S Pokemon!
