    This would be a great starter in some unlimited Gyarados deck if it weren’t so likely that you would either:

    1) Get Knocked Out before you can use Rapid Evolution, wasting a prize and energies;
    2) Actually draw into Gyarados before setting up the attack.

       That’s why you would use Blastoise first before playing Magikarp, so you can use Rain Dance on Magikarp to power him up for his Rapid Evolution attack on one turn. That way you can get Gyarados out early without waiting for a few turns to power up Magikarp and Magikarp wouldn’t be Catcher/GOW bait because he would be already a Gyarados in turn one.
