The first censored card in a while.

I’m not exactly sure why they changed it. Its not like this would have been the first Magmortar card to point his gun at you.

Possibly because the Dragon Blade printing features a smoking gun. All of the other “Magmortar is about to shoot you!” cards make it clear that he’s wielding a flamethrower-a weapon that a child could never conceivably get his hands on. Ordinary firearms, however, produce smoke when fired.
It’s similar to Snake’s portrayal in SSBB: Military grade explosives are seen as “acceptable” in such works, but an outright handgun would never make it under the radar.
I’m not saying that the censorship is right, here. I’m just pointing out the subtle difference between the Dragon Blade printing and the previous ones.

With the Smash example, real life handguns don’t exactly fit into a cartoonish game, anyways.
As for Magmortar, I can kind of see your point. The fact that the gun is smoking implies that it has already been fired. It basically says “you are dead,” which is extremely violent for a children’s card game.
