Ouch. Not to knock on whoever scanned these cards, but these Ultra Prism scans are extremely bright.

Not sure if people know, but Magmortar (DRX) #21 had its art changed when it came to America. Originally, it had its “gun” pointed at the player, barrel smoking. I’m wondering if this one got past the censors or if it its okay as long as the implication is that it hasn’t already “fired”.

The thing with that card is that it wasn’t obvious that it was a flamethrower. This card makes it clear that Magmortar’s barrels shoot fire instead of bullets, and it helps that it’s shooting at something slightly off-camera.

This is the controversial art in question: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Magmortar_(Dragons_Exalted_21)#Release_information

This same Ability came back in DAA Talonflame–and can be added to any {R}-type Pokemon with the “Burning Scarf” tool.
