Wins style points for having two diametrically opposed abilities (the mareep line was always the odd one out among electric types, and the contrast between cotton guard and thunder jolt here is neat), featuring Opelucid-modern- in the background of the art, and featuring art by sui. It’s actually pretty decent for a common basic in a two evolution line.
Twylis
Mareep so often appears in grassy fields — almost exclusively, throughout its whole history — that the glowy lights of Black Opelucid are a huge breath of fresh air.
