Search your discard pile for 2 different Trainer, Supporter, or Stadium cards, show them to your opponent, and your opponent chooses 1 of them. Put that card into your hand, and discard the other card. (If all Trainer, Supporter, and Stadium cards in your discard pile have the same name, choose 1 of them. Show that card to your opponent and put it into your hand.)
· Supporter rule: You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card.

The clear intention behind this card and Buck’s Training is that there was to be some cycle of supporters titled (insert stat trainer here)’s (insert action noun), released one per set, all of which would involve actions involving two cards. Platinum, being the ridiculous set that it was(remember, this is the set that brought us Crobat G), crushed that cycle. A shame.

Cyrus’s Conspiracy?
feyblade
He’s not a stat trainer (Buck, Marley, Mira, Riley, Cheryl.) The other three got forgotten the moment Platinum brought about its Galactic /SP dominated format. I was going to comment on how Cyrus’s Conspiracy mucked things up by being a ridiculously efficient card that broke the cycle by having nothing to do with any of the five trainers, but it would have just been a bit nuanced to talk about

This tradition has come back with cards like Cynthia’s Ambition, Lillie’s Full Force, Cheren’s Care, Koga’s Trap, etc.

The point was that the stat trainers were working pretty similarly. It’s something that’s easily forgotten and so, when we did finally get another one of the stat trainers in the card game many years later with Cheryl (and then Riley), they didn’t keep up the name gimmick (Name’s Whatever) or the mechanic gimmick of relating to 2 cards (albeit Riley kind of does).

“So, which one can I have back, Gust of Wind or Pokemon Catcher?”
Most common usage. Better than it first looks.

I wonder if there’s circumstances when Marley is still a better than Skyla.
