HL Medicham and SV Medicham had the attack “Chakra Points”, which did more damage based on the number of cards in your opponent’s hand. This card’s Chakra Ability has a different mechanic, now based on the number of cards in *your own* hand, but there is a semblance of a theme there. This card may become part of an a Energy-less deck that currently focuses on LOR Hisuian Arcanine, LOR Hisuian Zoroark, and ASR Mightyena. (It’s a gimmicky deck that’s hardly meta-defining, but it exists.)

This is quite possibly a dumb question, but does this ability reduce the cost of attacks Medicham gains through things like TMs, much like Cramorant? Or is it different?

TMs and similar cards are fair game
