Ability ⇢ Quick-Ripening Herb
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this Ability. Choose 1 of your Basic Pokémon in play. If you have a Stage 2 card in your hand that evolves from that Pokémon, put that card onto the Basic Pokémon to evolve it. You can use this Ability during your first turn or on a Pokémon that was put into play this turn.

Meganium’s breath has the power to revive dead grass and plants. It can make them healthy again.

Come back Meganium, we miss you :((

Meganium’s absence in the TCG is part of my theory that it’s coming back as a starter in ZA

I know. We’ve gotten no less than seven unique Grass type Exeggutor (Five Kantonian, two Alolan) since the last Meganium, on top of three Psychic and three Dragon types. Also, four Tangrowth, six unique Pinsir, five Grass type Breloom (Plus a Fighting type one)… taking spots from not just Meganium, but the Sceptile line, Snivy, Servine, Chespin and Quiladin, all of them somebody’s first Pokémon, all of them neglected for longer even than Meganium. There’s just a general imbalance of how frequently Pokémon appear. People just like to pick on Charizard.

Great card in GLC

And the center of some wild (Albeit inconsistent) decks in Sun and Moon through Lost Thunder, such as a Hit and Run deck featuring Greninja GX and Celestial Storm Slacking, a spread deck featuring Kingdra GX, Decidueye GX and Burning Shadows Porygon-Z, and a mill deck featuring Burning Shadows Rhyperior and Charizard GX. The spread deck can also snipe with the Lost Thunder Alolan Ninetales GX that many stage 2 decks already use for consistency. You can find lists for all three variants here (https://alexwilsonnc.github.io/tes/decks-by-era/2018/sum-lot), but the most refined list I’ve seen for any of them is from Whimsicast, who brought the Greninja Meganium deck to SUM-LOT by modifying a SUM-TEU list by Atsutoshi Kubo (Kukobo?). Here is his deck profile video:
