Poké-POWER ⇢ Delta Control
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may look at the top 4 cards of your deck, choose 1 of them, and put it into your hand. Put the 3 other cards on the bottom of your deck in any order. This power can’t be used if Metagross is affected by a Special Condition.
{L}{M} → Crush and Burn : 30+
You may discard as many Energy cards as you like attached to your Pokémon in play. If you do, this attack does 30 damage plus 20 more damage for each Energy card you discarded.
· Dual Type rule: This Pokémon is both {L}{M} type.

Like a slightly tuned-down Magnezone.

Except sort of better, as you can recycle cards from the discard, not from the lost zone.
Blob Takeshi
One of the very few Pokémon in the set that’s actually normally a Steel Type.

Evan Cole recently mentioned in a 2006 decks tier list video that MetaNite (The combination of this Pokémon and Dragonite delta species from the same deck) is a good deck for beginners to the format, since the game plan is fairly streamlined… just set up a bunch of stage 2’s and hit hard, not many fancy techs. This is, of course, assuming you are using a simple build of the deck with Beldum HL 29, not a more complex build like the Nance brother’s, which used all delta species pre evolutions, Holon’s Castform, Mewtwo delta species DS and Rayquaza Gold Star.
(JP, if you notice this comment is nearly identical to the one under Metagross DS, I’m just trying to keep both comments equally accessible in the coming years. We’re fellow retro fans, after all!)
