      By broken, do you mean playable? Mew ex is the combination of Oranguru SUM’s Instruct Ability (Originally on a one-prizer) and a solid attack that can situationally take knockouts, but can’t be the focus of an entire deck due to Mew ex’s fragility and the existence of Pokémon like Raging Bolt ex that Mew ex can’t copy the attacks of effectively. Strong, but not game-harming.

      Of course, having Mew ex and Squawkabilly ex and Fezandipiti ex and Radiant Greninja AND Pokéstop all legal in the same format? THAT may have been an issue. (Raging Bolt ex intensifies.)

            “Barely a one-of” is objectively wrong. It sees its fair share of play, being in ~50% of Gardevoir decks and most (~90%) lists for Bolt Owls, Eevee Box, and Joltik Box, with Owlless Bolt running 2 Mew.

            lmao I’m correct, and it’s been a one-of in the decks that use it for the greater part, with all of the top lists using just 1 copy if they opt to use it save for just one list so far as of writing this using 2 on the japanese side of the game.

          Um, if you knock out a Roaring Moon ex with Genome Hacking, the NEXT Roaring Moon ex will just knock it out with an unboosted Calamity Storm, placing no damage on itself and forcing you to OHKO it with one of your deck’s OTHER attackers… or more likely, knock it out with a baby Roaring Moon, trading their one-prizer for your two-prizer and potentially forcing you into a seven-prize game.

          I think the Roaring Moon ex players in your area just don’t like the Pokémon TCG that much if they stop playing with you after a Mew ex KO’s one of their Pokémon, and remember, for every major Pokémon that Mew ex OHKO’s, there’s SEVERAL that it can’t deal with. Mew ex is the backup plan, and if you’ve got the Energy acceleration to attack with it, you’d usually rather attack with something like Drifloon or Scream Tail.

          At the end of the day, Mew ex is a well-designed card… it’s got a solid but situational attack that gives it multiple uses, but only some of the decks that run it can practically use it. One of my fondest memories of playing my brother was when he and his Mad Party deck defeated my Blacephalon deck with Mew UNB’s Psypower. Placing three damage counters for one Energy wasn’t nearly as powerful as copying an entire attack, but it still gives the card multiple uses and comes in clutch every now and then. I’d MUCH rather have Mew UNB than Manaphy BRS!

            tax collector, if somebody takes time out of their day to give you a thorough and in-depth explanation to help you develop a better understanding of the game, you should probably consider feeling a level of gratitude rather than dismissing it all with emojis and what basically boils down to “tl;dr”.

            I’d also suggest abandoning the “tl;dr” mentality entirely. This is a comment section, expect to read comments sometimes. That’s what comment sections are for.
