Best unlimited deck: Aerodactyl · Fossil (FO) #1, Mewtwo Lv. X, and Jirachi · Unleashed (UL) #1.

Well, best Unlimited deck that doesn’t donk.

I did forget about that PoryDonk deck, but if you could get T1 Aerodactyl that deck would scoop.

The only way PoryDonk would stand a chance was if Aerodactyl was their only benched Pokemon somehow. Then they could just use Seeker as their supporter for the turn, rather than Downloading it. then Take Away Mewtwo LVX.

            T1 Mewtwo Lv.X?

          • Curtis Anonymous

            That would do it.

I LOVE this deck concept! I feel like this Mewtwo is my answer to the EX’s running rampant in my meta. I looked up what Aerodactyl and Jirachi did and it sounds like a fun deck.
I would enjoy to bounce ideas around with you. I opened a topic on PokeBeach.

Problem is that Aerodactyl and Mewtwo Lv. X both aren’t legal, Archeops · Noble Victories (NVI) #67has the same ability as Aerodactyl and it’s legal, but there isn’t a Mewtwo Lv. X replacement.

Haha yeah. That’s b/c a Mewtwo Lv. X replacement would break the current meta!

Maybe Slaking · Dragons Exalted (DRX) #103 was mistranslated (If your opponent’s active pokemon is basic, this pokemon can’t attack)

Would you like to discuss a decklist for this? I’m going to give this a try at my local League. >:D

I would, but I know absolutely nothing about unlimited.

haha. It’s cool. Thx for the idea though. I’ll let ya know how it goes. I’m just learning the finer parts of Unlimited myself; trying to take down an unbalanced meta full of EX’s. @_@

Aggron ex · Crystal Guardians (CG) #89 is better, it completely and utterly prevent Basics from doing anything, and it can be played on turn 1 with Broken Time Space.

Aerodactyl · Fossil (FO) #1 + Dark Vileplume + 2 Aggron ex in play = you win

oh yeah, that’s true. I wasn’t playing back then, so I completely forgot about it. Thanks!

Not necessarily. It took you a lot of resources to get out two Stage twos (well, If we’re talking 2 Aggron ex, 3) and an Aerodactyl. You’re probably going to deck out before you can take all your prizes.

Aipom · Unseen Forces (UF) #34 prevents you from decking out

Also Unown Z, although Aipom is probably better.

Mewtwo Lv.X would be broken in this format. Your EX’s can do nothing to me, as well as your Reshirams, Zekroms, Kyurems, Cobalions (it is a soft counter, but a Switch+SSU fixes that), Terrakions, Virizions, Tornadi, Thunduri, Landori, Druddigons, Articunos, Zapdoses, Moltreses, V-Create Victinis, V-Blast Victinis, Rayquasa Deoxys LEGENDs, Suicune Entei LEGENDs, and Mew Primes would do nothing to it. However, this powerful pokemon would go through the Poke-Body.

On top of that, he’d be able to stack on top of Mewtwo-EX. Scary…
…until you realize that he has far fewer HP as a Lv.X and can use a Stage 1 or 2 to take him out easily.

…until you realize that Mewtwo Lv. X levels up from Mewtwo and not Mewtwo-EX.

Seems like this card would work wonders against those nasty new BW EX cards!

This would be a great counter to Mewtwo EX!

Dude, you already said that, we all saw it on the recent comments. You only need to say it once.

…Yeah you’re right. I actually just noticed the “recent comments” column today.
            Double posting = my bad.

Some say, that this card did so well, that Mewtwo got 10 cards in a later set as a form of promotion.
