Pokémon Power ⇢ Rebellion
Whenever Misty’s Gyarados attacks, flip 2 coins. If both of them are tails, that attack does nothing. Instead, shuffle Misty’s Gyarados and all cards attached to it into your deck. (This power works even if Misty’s Gyarados is Confused.)

MarxForever
First card to have an Attack break the 60 damage limit without having a negative effect, and the only card during the entire original (Media Factory) run to do so. Though that’s because the negative effect was built into the Pokemon itself, but since that Negative effect was a Pokemon Power it could be mitigated through cards like Goop Gas or Muk.
And of course the odds of flipping two tails in a row is an acceptable 25%.

Right–although loading 4 energies onto this guy, only to have him get shuffled away, would feel pretty bad!!

ffs, so what? That misses the point of MarxForever’s original comment, which is that 70 damage was a big deal that invariably requires some level of management if you want to do hit that number, and it’s surprising how long the original run of the game was able to maintain the same power balance for so long. It’s actually one of the more interesting comments on the site.

you’re spending your Saturday night getting mad at comments I made six months ago

nice!!!!

Like most of the comments you’ve made on this site, they’re utterly useless. (And you can change your name as many times as you like, it’s obvious who you are.)

I hope you have a great night!

I’d wish you the same, but you’re a neo-Nazi.
